LANDSKIES sàrl is a young start-up founded by Quentin Ducenne, Aurélien James and Nils Bourland. We pursue the development of innovative solutions to climate change challenges. A large group of policy-makers and stakeholders addressing climate change issues need reliable information at fast pace. Remote sensing and companion technologies, in particular the Cloud and mobile technologies are opening new horizons. We work on a range of tools designed to acquire data at a much lower cost than ever before while providing enhanced information accuracy.
Quentin holds a MSc in Forestry from the University of Gembloux (Belgium, 1989) and a PhD in in Agronomy and Biological Engineering from the University of Gembloux (Belgium, 2003). He holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School (Australia, 2007). He has 30+ years of professional experience, especially in forestry and climate resilient projects in Africa, Asia and the Pacific Region. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Resources and Synergies Development. He works as a business strategy consultant in a variety of ventures in Africa and Europe.
CONTACTAurélien is a computer science engineer graduated from the University of Reims (France, 2004). Throughout his 15+ years of experience, he has evolved in various fields such as software development and architecture, continuous integration and deployment, or geographic information systems. He has always been passionate about new technologies and more recently by augmented reality and machine learning. He is also the Co-Founder and CTO of the Luxembourg-based Resources & Synergies Development Technology private entity.
